Out & About Community Transport
"Out and About" in Ingham and surrounding areas! Available every second Thursday on Pension week. Ring 47761822 and book your seat on this fortnightly shopping bus. Meet the friendly bus driver and our volunteer Carol, always available to lend a helping hand. Why not use this service to reach your shopping destination, and then jump on the bus again and get dropped off at your front door!
Non Urgent Medical Appointments: HCSC offers a free transport service to Townsville for non-urgent medical patients (PTSS voucher required). Escorts of patients can also travel, please check eligibility and discounted fares. If there is room, anyone may use this service for visits to an inpatient, or medical appointments not covered by the PTSS (e.g. dental), but will have to pay a fee. Contact the Centre for more information.
We strictly do not operate a shopping or airport transfer service.
The bus departs Ingham approximately 2 hours before the first appointment in Townsville. This means that we coordinate our schedule each day depending on the needs of our clients. As soon as everyone has finished with their medical appointments, the bus returns to Ingham.
Timetables may vary due to appointments and we contact everyone travelling the day before to confirm travel and departure times. We will try our best to make sure you have a safe and enjoyable journey.
Book by phoning 4776 1822, if you miss us leave a message with your name and phone number and we will get back to you as soon as we can.
