A group of approximately 50 people walked along the streets of Ingham carrying a banner which read
“Say No To Domestic and Family Violence. Trust your Instincts – Call DV Connect 1800 811 811”.
During the walk people in cars waved and honked their horns to acknowledge the group. We then walked to the HUB where Liz Sutton from IDSS (Ingham Disability Support Services) gave a talk on the impact of Domestic and Family Violence on people who have a disability. Her talk was very informative and interesting.
A member of the public who was in attendance was asked to cut the beautiful and delicious cake. Sandwiches and a fruit platter were also available with a lovely cup of tea or coffee. People mingled with lots of conversations occurring around Domestic and Family Violence.
