Mental Health Week

29/9/2014

Mental Health Week is a national event, held in October to coincide with World Mental Health Day (10 October). What an opportunity for everyone to bring the topic of mental health to the table! Let’s discuss mental health and wellbeing, how it affects us, our families, friends and colleagues. What is the right information? Where can we start finding correct information and where do we go to seek help?

Local and regional Mental Health Week events organised by local groups and communities contribute to reducing the stigma associated with mental illness and offer a platform to engage the community in dialogue regarding help-seeking behaviours and mental health promotion. Small steps can make a difference! Here are some Mental Health tips, and the link to relevant information.
     - Reach out and help others   - See the funny side of life   - Learn something new  -
     -
Catch up with friends  - Have an early night   - Organise your day   - Eat healthy   -
Have a massage
     - Ask for some help  - Take time out   -
Go for a walk....
