Our Christmas Appeal opens on 1st December, and once again we are reminded of just how generous and caring our community truly is.
Because of the kindness of our amazing donors, we’re able to support local families and individuals who may be finding things tough this festive season. This appeal gives those who might go without a chance to feel a little of that Christmas magic, whether it’s something small for themselves or a gift for a loved one.
Applications will be open from 1st December to 12th December.
Please remember that support is subject to eligibility.

Today we recognised our Senior Men's group facilitator Angelo Cavaliere for International Men's Day - the theme this year is Celebrating Man and Boys. Angelo demonstrates the 6 pillars for International Men's Day

Bulk Waste Support Program 📺🪑
Council, along with the Hinchinbrook Community Support Centre (HCSC) would like to advise eligible residents that registrations for the Bulk Waste Support Program are open.
HCSC will commence bulk waste collections from Monday 10th November 2025 until Friday 5th of December 2025.📆
Eligible residents are those who:
➡️Are physically unable to move or transport large items to the waste facility;
➡️Have limited assistance available through family or friends; and
➡️Do not have the financial means to pay for a commercial service.
Each qualified household is entitled to one service per year and is limited to the equivalent of one trailer load of bulk waste. 🛌🚲
